It's 2050, I'll be 87:-D Europe is blossoming as a wonderful kaleidoscope of colours of the future. Technology and nature exist in harmony and people everywhere are living sustainable lifestyles. My youngest son is a keen environmentalist, sitting in his home in Galway. There are plants running up the walls, because the new pinnacle of modern architecture is green home design. Solar-powered devices provide the energy supply, eliminating the need for conventional energy sources. Electric vehicles ply the streets and traffic jams are a thing of the past. Sitting on your balcony, looking out over the community garden below the city. This garden is not only a source of food, but has become a hub of community life. People work together, share knowledge and connect with each other. The whole city is coming together to maintain the natural environment and increasing biodiversity is a common goal. In schools, children are learning new subjects such as 'environmental technology' and 'sustainable farming'. Teachers draw their teaching material from real life, and students work in school gardens while learning how to respect and care for the planet. It makes me smile to think that the Europe of the future is full of possibilities and hope. People working together and technology is making a real difference, not only in improving their quality of life, but also in keeping the planet healthy and liveable. And here, in this prosperous, peaceful and sustainable world, you know that the Europe of the future is exactly what you've always dreamed of: a place where future generations can live happy and healthy lives.

I want my children to have a green future. Closer to nature, to have trees, to have clean air. To use clean sources of energy. People to be better, stress and anxiety levels to be minimized. To have no crime, no humiliation, empathy. People are hell-bent on making their own food. To be flexible and adaptable. Eliminate dependence on producers, no mass psychosis. There should be serious sanctions on the media, no brainwashing. Organise a new order, have laws, respect them. Cunning and manipulative people should be subjected to therapy, they should realise what they are causing with their behaviour and words. Human rights should not be violated in any aspect. To have fairness and ethics in relationships and in the way people think.

In a better future, I would like to see more dialogue between politicians, more care for the planet, more control over corruption, more distribution of wealth and more employment opportunities for young people.

I expect that by 2040, most insidious diseases such as carcinoma, AIDS, Alzheimer's and others will be defeated, there will already be drugs to treat them. Increase life expectancy. Let there be no poverty and misery and let all the people on the planet live better.
