Tiek izvietots NATO karaspēks, kas apsargā ES ārējo tobežu. Dzimstība turpina samazināties, pensionēšanā vecums tiek paagstināts līdz 70 gadiem.Lai risinātu enerģētika problēmas tiek izvietotas konteineru atomelktrostcijas.
