By 2040, I’d hope for a world where environmental sustainability is the core of every industry, community, and personal decision. The future I imagine would involve a world where clean energy is the dominant power source. Solar, wind, and other renewable resources would have fully replaced fossil fuels, and energy storage technology would be efficient enough to make the entire planet carbon-neutral.

Cities would be designed with green spaces and eco-friendly infrastructure. Vertical gardens, green roofs, and urban forests would be common sights. Buildings would be made with sustainable materials, equipped with energy-efficient systems and powered by local, clean sources.

Transportation would be electrified and automated, with most people using public transit or self-driving electric vehicles that run on renewable energy. Pollution from vehicles would be a thing of the past, and air quality would drastically improve, leading to healthier communities.

In this world, there would also be a major shift in how we handle waste. Circular economies would be the norm, where everything gets reused or recycled. Plastics would be eliminated or fully biodegradable, and electronic waste would be processed into valuable resources instead of piling up in landfills.

Socially, I hope to see a world where sustainability isn’t just a niche movement but an ingrained part of the global culture. Education would emphasize environmental consciousness, and every individual, community, and business would be actively engaged in reducing their environmental footprint.

This future wouldn’t just be clean—it would be vibrant, innovative, and deeply connected to the planet.

People no longer eat animals, forests are protected, there is only one god, the universe. Cancer is eradicated. Weapons are banned. I want to live in a future where there is no more dictation from above, where I can freely say what I think without fear. It's peaceful on the streets, there are no concrete blocks at our Christmas markets and our countries are once again mainly inhabited by locals. Guests are always welcome, we swap stories and talk about each other's culture. Then we go back to our home countries and tell them about it. We are all friends. Nature is growing and flourishing. There is no longer a CO2 tax, as CO2 is necessary for plants to grow. The air is clean. There are no more wind turbines killing our birds and the populations have recovered. An eagle is circling above again. Chemtrails no longer exist and those responsible for this manipulation have been brought to justice. Schools and universities are once again places of learning and wisdom and not corporate hives of interest. There is peace around us and within us.

It's hard to imagine the future with all the advances in technology, which have both positive and negative points. I'm thinking more about the future in terms of nature. I'd like to see nature, especially flora and fauna, protected, and for people to stop consuming at will and doing anything with waste and, above all, over-consumption. We have to move with the times, of course, but growing our own fruit and vegetables is an important way of knowing exactly what we're eating, and a way of sharing and exchanging when there's too much production. Tynis houses are interesting and economical, and I think they'll evolve over time.

A world without despots and idiots in power, worldwide. We have achieved the climate targets and things are green and blooming everywhere. The economy is also flourishing and global trade and change are functioning smoothly. The wars have ended and the global community has become sensible. People are concerned about important social issues and not about taking over other countries.
