December 31, 2040: After several years of political and economic violence in 2025-2027. Little by little, nations have understood that they must live together, balancing the planet's resources. The consciousness of each individual has on the whole developed, gradually leading to a better understanding of one another. Strangely enough, this collective awareness seems to favor the birth of new ideas. Researchers seem to be able to concretize the use and role of light and sound in our interactions with each other and with the globality of our environments. These discoveries have reduced the fascination and power of the AI system, putting it back in its place as a simple development tool; vocabularies are changing, and the means of communication transformed by the use of light matter and sound waves are harmonizing with the development of other species. If I had written this in 2025, I would have been considered an unrealistic utopian. Yet our current preoccupations, awareness that we still have to discover where we are and what our "usefulness" is in this galactic universe. Faith and belief remain strong, all the more so as our researchers are projecting new fundamental discoveries in 2050. In particular, certain filaments discovered during our olfactory explorations have been identified as beings or doorways?

After a fair and transparent election, a progressive politician comes to power, and the old regime falls away with the reactionaries. In the 15 years following, Russia has become an economic powerhouse and has international cooperation as its focus. With a stable government, it is not a military threat to Europe, China, or indeed, any other country. This has inspired other regions in Asia and the Middle East to scale back aggressive behaviours, especially regarding disputed territories. Israel has relocated its citizens to new builds, and negotiations are being held to establish an independent Palestinian state. Hamas has become a political organisation and has renounced its militant ways. Israel has also started making amends to the Palestinian people, but this is a long and ongoing process. The US has become the old guard. It is still a place of dreams and technology, but after the economic crash of 2026, the American people are tired of the pursuit of more and more. The slow life is now the lifestyle trend.
