I don't know because I'm 68. In 15 years, I may not be around to know whether 2040 will be the future. Let's remain optimistic, but in 2040, at 83, my life is behind me. No, none of this: people have mellowed, our leaders have found solutions for a peaceful world, the ecological revolution is beginning to bear fruit, and the world is calmer and more serene. My grandchildren are flourishing in their work and in their lives. Their future looks bright.

In 2040, I envision peace and tranquility in the world. Totally unrealistic though ? I believe that our planet will still exist and our picturesque Slovakia will remain Slovak on the map and not only in the history books, so that our children will perceive it only as a memory of the history of their parents. I very much wish our future generations to experience what we have had the opportunity to experience - freedom and nature as it still exists.
