Self-sufficiency. National self-sufficiency in electricity generation (preferably from renewable sources), crop production and food production. Efficient and environmentally friendly management of arable land and water. Reduction in livestock production and increase in crop production without pesticides and chemicals that damage ground and drinking water. Equal wage levels in different sectors across Europe. Equal pay for teachers in Germany as in the Czech Republic. The same pay for workers on the line in a car parts factory in France as in Slovakia. The same subsidies from the common European treasury for farmers growing non-hazardous crops in Austria as in Poland. Stop subsidising farmers for not sowing and harvesting crops, but just cutting grass in otherwise fertile fields. Self-sufficiency of households - producing their own electricity, growing fruit and vegetables, raising animals for meat, eggs, milk, wool and so on. Exchange and sale of raw materials and products between neighbours at markets, between counties at major exhibitions, and between states through import and export companies. To make us all healthier, happier and living in abundance and in harmony with nature.

we came close to disaster but escaped it. Maybe it took the scare to push us to do something. in the 15 years from 2025 to 2040 we realized that the future is not just an abstract idea that someone else will take care of. Sure, things are not perfect, but eventually an agreement was reached among nations to reduce the emissions that are harming the planet. A new consciousness has spread. On the streets, internal combustion cars are increasingly rare, replaced by electric motors or often even bicycles. Technology has moved on but it has also become simpler, with a taste for the essential that was not there in the past so overflowing with frills and driven consumerism. Studies show that global warming is coming under control. The damage has been there and new damage will still be there before the end, but work is being done and successes are being seen. Even in politics having come close to a new world war brought us closer together, first with suspicion, still fearful that this or that other nation was waiting for just the slightest opening for a new attack but then forging bonds. Only 15 years have passed, sure, the process is still in its infancy, but it is well under way. It is not a perfect world. But it is a better world that is improving

In 2040, school will be student-friendly. It will teach how to acquire and verify information and not just reproduce it. Children will use new technologies wisely and sensibly thanks to the fact that there will be a modern education system. A system that will not be based only on grades, which are not objective assessments of knowledge. A system that will educate children in areas that are close to their time. I hope for an education system that will teach young people how to distinguish between true information and fakenews.

I'm very sceptical about the future of tomorrow's world, but without being totally pessimistic, I think that the human race will take the right decisions to enable us all to live together in harmony, albeit partial, but necessary. We absolutely must limit demographics, especially on the African and Asian continents.
