Let us imagine that I am in 2040, and that I live in a future characterised by sustainability, balance and social justice. A topic that for me would be crucial for improvement is climate change and the way in which society uses energy and natural resources. Ideally, in 2040, the world would certainly become rapidly decarbonised. The green and renewable energy market would be dominant, and fossil fuels would certainly be eliminated. Solar panels, wind turbines and other clean energy technologies would be widely available and standard in everyday life. Buildings would be flooded with green, with smart systems for recycling, efficient use of water and minimising waste. Transport would be 100% electric, and public transport would be efficient and accessible. Self-driving cars and other technologies would enable a freer human protocol, reducing congestion and pollution. People would live in buildings that are designed to offer a high quality of life, with an emphasis on cycle parking, pedestrian zones and smart buildings that use a minimum amount of energy. The society would be less divided, with an emphasis on justice, social justice and access to education and health care for all. The health and well-being of the eaters would not only be focused on physical health, but there would also be more efforts to initiate mental health, social and emotional support. This future would be marked by people's connection with nature and interpersonal honesty, and by the development of technologies that do not take into account the environment. The key promise would be to educate all of us about the importance of a sustainable life, where we would actively work to reduce our negative impact on the planet, or to improve inter-human relations in a global society.

Of course I would like the future to be better like everyone else, but I feel like it's going to get worse. Anyway, I would like there to be freedom in all its forms. That is, all people to feel equal and do what they like and if others are involved always with consent, freedom of speech and press where there is free and objective journalism. It goes without saying that there should be no wars. No countries and by extension people subservient to other countries either directly or indirectly related to economy, standard of living etc. I believe that in this way people would be happier and there would not be all this anthropophagy. Most people would have equal opportunities and young people would dream without any fear and hesitation.

The year is 2040, and medicine worldwide is highly advanced. Humans no longer fear certain diseases, as vaccines have been developed for them. Cancer is already highly treatable and is no longer a death sentence as it was in the near past. There are even talks for further development of a special anti-cancer vaccine which should be produced in the following years. The life expectancy of human beings is estimated to be more than a hundred years with a prediction to reach even more in the following decades. Mental illnesses that were not completely treatable like schizophrenia will be due to our advanced understanding of the human brain. Nanotechnologies, such as robotics will further help in treating serious illnesses and during operations.

A modern and humane world. It would be a world that invites people to expand their knowledge and experience. Where self-confidence and a desire to evolve are built up day by day, where one "is" more than one "has". Where the individual seeks to reconcile participation in the community with meaningful reflection. The next future will be one in which we will be masters of matter, but we will also be masters of spirit. There will be abundance, because we will be able to spend less on what doesn't matter. There will be no "entertainment", but art, no war but competition for excellence There will be no forced solitude, no prison, but re-education. There will be no violence, no dirt, no exploitation, because there will be no central government. Only communities where mechanical jobs are done by robots.
