I imagined myself waking up on 18 January 2040 to the scent of the light-up device waking me up with the smell of fresh coffee, because by then the alarm clock and getting up in the dark at dawn and getting ready will be unknown concepts.

Then I smile with satisfaction, because I remember my dream: I dreamt that the profession of being a politician would disappear. No more conscription of young men, no more incitement to conquer territory, to plunder mineral wealth... no more financial or other advantages at the expense of the population. I'll finish my coffee.
I smile wider and wider. I smile because this was not a dream! This is reality! But I'm glad it's 2040!
