We celebrate 2040 by listening to our welcome speech by the President of the European Union. The speech remembers how the European Union grew, how it counterbalanced other demotritic and autocratic states, and how powerful the EU became when, as early as 2025, countries agreed to sacrifice part of their sovereignty by handing over the most important tools of governance to the EU, the fuel we could call the European Federation. There are no more divisions, contradictions and endless discussions on the most important issues of their citizens on economic, financial, educational, defence, diplomatic or other issues. The EU has systematised the verybes that guide every country within its autonimia. By working together, we have achieved incredible results in the field of science, which has led to a significant increase in the gross domestic product, both at the level of the whole federation and by each member individually. The cultural life of all of us has become richer, more diverse and more mature. In this year, 2040, the EU set a new goal to expand its space program and achieve a breakthrough by colonizing suitable but uninhabited planets.
Not all EU citizens continued to listen to the welcome speech, but the absolute majority was happy and proud of the opportunity to live in the most friendly democratic (without irony) federation.
