The topics that I see as encompassing a lot of aspects of our life are communication and transparency. I think whether we are journalists or not, people in my country have lost the ability to communicate properly on heated topics - from climate change, the pandemic, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and etc. Discussion has become ever more difficult because of many reasons but some key ones include 1) people heavily mistaking opinions for facts; 2) people being unaware of how strong disinformation is and what are its goals 3) lack of empathy and the desire to listen, not only to express your own viewpoint and try to convince the others. Hence, whether we talk about the state of democracy, media freedom, environmental protection and how we imagine them to be better in 2040, I think an improved information space is vital to that.
