Oh yes, luckily everything turned out well again. Back then, my dear granddaughter, things looked bad in Germany and the world. The only really nice thing in 2025 was your birth. Oh, how happy we were. And we are still happy for you and your brother and your two cousins, who were born a little later. But you wanted to know what it was like back then. Back then, we had to vote at short notice in Germany, there were quarrels within the old government. And then the shock - because the elections didn't turn out as originally expected. There was a lot of trouble within the parties, one party was so divided that it disbanded. What a stroke of luck for humanity and especially for Germany. Yes, I know you shake your head at so much stupidity today, but people were actually dissatisfied and therefore backed the wrong horse. Back then, there was a war between Russia and Ukraine. Fortunately for all of us, a ceasefire was initially achieved with the help of Europe. The President of the United States at the time, who had no idea about politics, almost triggered the Third World War. But then Europe came together and formed a strong unit, which didn't impress the president very much. You shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but in this case it was the best thing that could have happened to the world, because this man suffered a heart attack and died before he could do any worse. At last something changed for the better in the world and in Germany, too, tax money was no longer wasted. I could tell you stories about the nonsensical things cities and municipalities did with tax money. But you wouldn't believe that. It's also too far-fetched. But now, look how nice the cities look, lots of greenery and little car traffic in the city centers. Isn't it also nice that everyone can borrow a very small e-car instead of an e-scooter to get around town? And it can even be folded up, like mini folding bikes used to be. But you don't even know them anymore. This tiny e-car doesn't go fast, so you can drive it without a license. The car industry, which was almost at the end of its tether back then, has changed tack. And look at these wheelchairs that follow patients around. That's a delight. Now even sick and old people can walk a few steps and then sit down again. And in your school everything is digital, no more 1000 copies, although you had books, but I still think it's great that the books have remained in paper form. It's also wonderful that the daily newspapers still exist. It's incredibly nice that you were taught at school how important it is to get information in a serious way. And it's great that social media is only available from the age of 18. And people now take a closer look and don't spread as much crap as they did 15 years ago. But the best thing of all is that wars and unrest in the world are a thing of the past. Instead of rattling sabres, people talk to each other, instead of just having their cell phones in front of their eyes (and that was actually the case. Some people couldn't be without their cell phones for an hour), people talk and discuss and play.

I have been retired for a few years and live a serene elderly life in my own home with my spouse. I don't have grandchildren because my own children didn't want to have children because they felt uncertain about the climate and the future. The carbon neutrality targets have finally been achieved, a few years later than planned, but much easier and cheaper than what was intimidated by the government parties in 2025. Right-wing parties have lost support and tolerance and understanding differences are commonplace. Immigration has increased with climate refugees, but it has also helped to keep the whole country inhabited. Agriculture is flourishing and our country is self-sufficient in grain. Thanks to wind, water and nuclear power, our country is also self-sufficient in terms of energy. Being at the forefront of the green revolution, the country has received a lot of investment that has been linked to the green economy, and that is why our economy has grown and debt is being paid off, rather than being increased. Young people's faith in the future is brighter than in years, and as a result of good health and economic policy, the world's population has turned to decline. It is no longer necessary to have children in order to ensure that old age is safeguarded. In every country, girls get to go to school and decide on their own body. I can quietly close my eyes and fall asleep in the afternoon sun for a moment and then get up to make an early dinner for myself and my spouse.

In the future, humanity has arrived at a time when we realize that we need each other. No one is anyone's enemy, no one is left alone, everyone is needed because there are tasks for everyone big or small. We tell each other stories and hang out. The time in front of all screens has been reduced.

The war in Ukraine is over. Russia is divided into 10-15 countries. Europe has a common armed force, high-tech, mobile. The EU is actively competing with the US and China in cutting-edge technologies, the economy has stagnated. Islam in Europe is banned and hopefully the Arabs in the Middle East are beginning to give up Islam. A-Europe has achieved R-Europe in economic development. Migrants who are not ready to accept Western culture, everyday life, laws should go to their countries of birth or where they are welcomed. Dzień Aleksandry
The sun slowly rose over Warsaw in 2042, and Aleksandra woke up in her intelligent apartment. The gentle light imitating the sunrise and the smell of freshly brewed coffee from the automatic coffee machine made her start the day with a smile. Her work as a coordinator of urban vertical gardens gave her a lot of satisfaction. Thanks to modern technologies, buildings across Europe have turned into green spaces, producing oxygen and food. The cities were full of trees and parks, and autonomous transport made the air clean and the streets quiet. Aleksandra got into a light, electric city vehicle that operated in a sharing system. On the way, she read the news: European Union countries have achieved zero carbon emissions and new fusion technology has provided a cheap and clean source of energy. After work, she met her friends at a local cafe, where 3D printed plant-based snacks tasted like the best dishes from years ago. They talked about a future that was finally optimistic – Europe succeeded in creating a sustainable, innovative and happy society.
