Renewable energy resources have dominated the energy market, the fossil fuels have a very small use and a higher cost; they are only used in the less developed/less democratic parts of the world. Mining and earth's hydrocarbon extraction is also at a minimum, without loss of the quality of life, as recycling and the optimum use of materials and energy resources is widespread. The use of advanced materials, sensors and AI has automated many processes in a reliable way. The standard of life and the expected lifetime of humans has been significantly increased due to the use of new nanomedicines and diagnostics. Information technology has allowed democracy to be widely accepted, which in turn enables humans to be creative; our societies advance collaborative work and art; our cultural heritage is preserved. Wildlife has returned in large parts of the world due to the ending of most of the unnecessary human activity; advanced tools enable the safe coexistence with humans.
