Im Jahr 2040 wären sicher einige Sachen anders. In erster Linie hätte sich die Technik enorm weiterentwickelt. KI ist heute schon ein großes Thema, aber in 15 bis 20 Jahren werden wahrscheinlich alle technischen Geräte reden und den Menschen helfen können. Die Waschmaschine wird selbstständig Wäsche waschen und anschließend aufhängen oder sogar, ohne Trockner, trocknen können. Sie wird durch Wind- oder Sonnenenergie betrieben, wobei die Einrichtung dazu an jedem Haus angebracht ist.
Die Menschen werden umweltfreundlicher handeln und ihre Technik wird sie dabei unterstützen.
Plastik wird es gar nicht mehr geben. Dafür ein neues Material, das aus Hanf oder einem ähnlichen Produkt produziert wird und als Verpackungsmaterial dient. Nachdem man es verbraucht hat, wird es durch unsere modernen Mülltonnen an Sammelstellen gefahren und dort wiederverwertet.

I have grown older. Together with my partner, I fulfilled my dream of building another house - after all, there was still room in the garden of the old house! It now serves as an apartment when children and grandchildren come to visit. Our neighborhood is constantly changing. Separations and deaths bring change. The houses don't stay empty for long. It is very popular to live in the village. People still look out for each other here and living together works. There are lots of activities for young and old, and most people are keen to get involved in voluntary work. All in all, it's a good place to grow older.

I would like to see threats of global warming has been taken seriously and measures to halt its progression is in full force. I would also like to see either IQ tests or common sense tests for people, in charge of government. I also hope religion not to have such a strong hold over weak minds.
