The Bioelectromagnetic Age

In 2040, many of the most innovative breakthroughs being developed to contribute to sustainability, productivity and quality of life involve the synergistic combination of knowledge related to biology, science and technology. One of the biggest breakthroughs that has been achieved is Bioelectromagnetic Design – the customised design of the electromagnetic characteristics of environments and technologies to enhance wellbeing and biological functioning.

Interest in Bioelectromagnetic Design had initially arisen in popularity, and necessity, as a result of many in the insurance industry refusing to cover health issues related to electromagnetic pollution, the growing incidences of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity in many of the world’s populations, and a number of enlightened health agencies advocating the adoption of stronger protective guidelines.

It received a further boost when entrepreneurs recognised that if they took into account the suggestions of ‘early warning’ scientists when designing technologies and products, the risks they faced were reduced and their opportunities for disruptive innovation increased. The growing interest and efficacy of electromedicine further increased the appeal of such tactics, and by 2035 such approaches had become mainstream with the creation of more bioelectromagnetically healthy environments and technologies becoming the choice of the masses.

The knowledge that we can work in closer harmony with nature through having a better understanding of the biological effects of the electromagnetic spectrum, and can use that to our advantage and the advantage of the planet itself in its extended recovery period, is been a real blessing.

Bit ce te sretni a necete imati ništa
Beginning 2035 years ago, the castles with the people at their backs, have no inhabitants, no gentlemen in their 8 squares of space allocated by the State. You have no place and you are a creature. You feed like a housewife on hens, industrial meat and industrial waste, the pharmaceutical industries are like a blessed breeze, every human being has some kind of pain from the suffering of all the months of the day. A beautiful future awaits us

I hope my grandkids listen in disbelief about my tales of the past
I woke up this morning and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air—cleaner than it had been in decades. I walked to the neighborhood market, where fresh affordable produce from local farms was abundantly available thanks to Europe’s 2030 policy on increasing subsidies for farmers so they get a fair price and not have to pass the increase on to the consumer My grand children played nearby with their pals from all different backgrounds, chatting effortlessly in multiple languages thanks to the continued EU Education Initiatives that make multilingual learning and culture projects free and accessible, fostering deeper understanding across nations. I meet my elderly parents for coffee, they are both in their 80s and in good health thanks to the eu wide shared health system that meant they could go to Europe for treatment and not sit for years on eating lists in ireland. They pay for their coffees using Universal Living Credit—a system introduced in 2041 to ensure financial stability for all citizens. We talk about life in general and about the news story of the day which is the anniversary of the day in 2026 that the EU finally stood up to Trump and Netanyahu, leading to a free Palestine and the downfall of the trump administration and his eventual incarceration. My three adult children join us for lunch as they are on a day off thanks to the EU four-day workweek policy. They talk excitedly about their plans for their new homes which they can easily afford because of house price control policies and decent salaries. I tell them horror stories about rent prices and homeless rates when they were babies, they don’t believe me. When I returned home that evening, me and my husband make plans for a trip to our second home in Spain later in the month. Later that evening our Ukrainian neighbors and fellow EU citizens stop by for a visit. I’m glad that in 2050, Europe isn’t just a continent; it’s a home for all.

Trumpa kėlionė
So the future would be that the war between Russia and Ukraine would be well and truly over. There will be new diseases from the melting glaciers, but at the same time there will be cures for them. As far as Lithuania is concerned, I think life will certainly improve. Transport will be completely pollution-free. There will be a lot of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydroelectric power. The world will improve in the space sphere. There will be journeys to other planets.

Bättre med EU
The EU has expanded by a few more member countries compared to now. These include Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine. Through decisive joint action by the EU countries, Russia has given up its imperialist ambitions, the members of the old fascist regime have been convicted of their atrocities and the country has embarked on a journey towards democracy, and several free elections with real opportunities for the people of Russia to choose between different political orientations have been held. Xenophobia has disappeared and the former far-right parties attract so few voters that they are not represented in any parliament. There are now safe asylum routes into the EU and, while not all refugees are allowed to stay, they are seen as potential resources rather than likely problems. Politicians of different parties have started to listen to science again and, while not all is well, our carbon footprint has been reduced and global warming has started to slow down. Working together in the EU was a major contributing factor.
