In 2040, I would like all the energy to be clean and easy to have. Oil is replaced by new energies. Electricity would no longer cost anything and houses could produce on their own. Electricity is accessible to all and all means of transport have become electric.

Artificial intelligence has replaced all the cleaning, accommodation and maintenance of the house that were previously human, increasing the free time to devote to what we prefer. You can work remotely in all trades and working hours are flexible, so as to reconcile community and family life with work

But it is not just technology that has evolved. Between 2025 and 2040, society changed profoundly. The economic system has been completely reformed. The work as we knew it disappeared in its traditional form. The majority of human tasks have been handled by artificial intelligence and robotisation. People are now focusing on their personal development, creativity and social activities. The concept of "work" is no longer defined by a fixed job, but by a commitment to collaborative projects or community initiatives. Wealth is more equitably shared, and poverty has been eradicated through universal allocation systems and redistribution of resources.

In 2040, I hope that early childhood education and care will be more valued and that all children will be provided with a safe, warm and supportive learning environment. There are enough educated adults in kindergartens who can focus on children's individual growth and well-being without a lack of resources. Nature and physical activity are strongly involved in everyday life, and technology supports learning, not replaces genuine interaction. Families and educators work closely together for the benefit of children. Society invests in preventive support so that every child has the opportunity to grow up to be a strong and confident individual. This is a future I would like to see.
