The year is 2040, and the world is quiet, but full of new possibilities. There are no more traffic jams in cities, and the air is cleaner than ever before, thanks to advanced atmospheric cleaning technology. People travel the streets in zero-emission vehicles that float above the surface thanks to magnetism. Homes are energy self-sufficient, and CO2-absorbing water and air technology have become the norm. Between 2025 and 2040, humanity realized the dream of global cooperation in the fight against climate change. Breakthroughs in renewable energy have made it possible to become completely independent of fossil fuels. Societies have become more sustainable, and inequalities have begun to erode, thanks to equality in access to technology and resources. While much has changed, the challenge still remains the human psyche. Technologies can improve our lives, but the real change is the ability to live in harmony with each other and the planet. Eiropā ir tumšādainu cilvēku vairākums, apkārt musulmaņu lūgšanas nami, katrā valstī īsto vietējo naciju iedzīvotāju ir pavisam maz. Darba vietās vairāk izmanto mākslīgo intelektu un robotus, daudz bezdarbnieku. Visi komunālie maksājumi, pārtika ir ļoti augsti un ļoti maz cilvēku var atļauties sev nepieciešamo, nerunājot par augsto dzīves līmeni. In 2040, we are paying much more attention to environmental and climate issues. We are also feeling the changes on our own skin - we are not able to cool our homes and workplaces to comfortable temperatures because we do not have enough electricity to do so. We work much less than we do today. 5x8h / week is a thing of the past, now we work 3 days a week, we have more time for self-development, volunteering, taking care of the neighborhood. We are facing great migratory pressure. Further we don't know what to do about it. Every country has its own idea about it.
