Especially recently, I feel that in many areas we are not going well. However, two seem to me to be the most critical points for change: (a) the large climate chapter, and (b) the gradual elimination of active citizenship, who is interested in their fellow citizens and the community to which they belong/are part of/live.
In 2040, therefore, we will ideally have achieved any change that can still occur in terms of climate change. The temperature will remain stable at current levels, the glaciers will continue to suffer, heat fires will have been reduced, etc. The ways we have achieved this achievement will be holistic and long-term, so that they will have an effect and duration (e.g. in Paris they are trying to unlock rivers and streams in order to bring down the temperature, while at the same time taking the public through the installation of air-conditioning units, which would raise the temperature of at least 2 degrees in the city). Of course, this approach is linked to the second strand of the described future, that of active citizenship. In order to achieve this, the people of the Earth will have changed mindsets, the sense of responsibility we all have towards the planet, not only in theory, but in substance, has been strengthened. The world will have mobilised, realising that changes are not taking place by writing 2 whistle-blower paragraphs on the internet that may inspire a proportion of the world, but so far, but need concrete actions, which are organised, cooperative, shared and mass. As active citizens, we will enjoy solidarity, conspiracy and mutual support for each other’s fellow citizens, building on and strengthening the concept of public space vis-à-vis the private one. Everyone’s altruism, feeling of inclusiveness and empathy will have increased.
Every action and every attempt to make a positive change is part of a chain, where each link is linked to the others and it is impossible to fundamentally change the situation if we do not act comprehensively and through all the parts that make up the living system.

The greatest wish is to live in peace with other countries and cultures, to see animals living in peace in their own environment and not polluting the air, water and land. Humans, as the most evolutionarily intelligent, must not give up thinking and working with their heads, because there is a great danger of being deprived of social interaction, leading to loneliness and overthinking. Robots may exist, but to a certain limit, which must be regulated, and not to produce pointless rubbish and destroy mineral resources, thereby causing the depletion of the earth as well as strife between countries and people.

That life is still affordable.that pensioners are not starving.that everyone who needs it gets the care they need.that people no longer have to starve,that there is no more war.that our environment is cleaner again.I won't live to see all this.but I still wish it for my children and grandchildren.

hello ,when it comes to the future i tend to think that nothing good is coming,,,.especially as a result of such political games by human governments...the worst that is coming is from nature - from the changes in the solar system...the earth is warming from below also the glaciers on the continental shelves are melting from below also the ocean is warming from below ,magma is coming closer to the surface...,Other planets in the solar system are also affected by the sun,where changes are also taking place, Mankind has no part in this ,,,people are being blatantly lied to,,,this whole society is now set up on a sham.so , as the top scientists claim not much longer , maybe a little over three years , then life on earth will have become unbearable , there will be a great migration of wafers , and with it will come life fights , wars , by the way Russia has already started , noo more of a killing frenzy after all , a predator nation , naku says their greeting -dovarizi .dovar is a commodity and izii is otsi ...commodity otsi,,but that's about it.and still the climate is increasing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions,,which have also been observed,,and never been seen before.but we shall see what we can feel this year..BUT THAT'S HAPPY FOR US,,VERY HAPPY

Unfortunately, automation is going to cost many jobs and the world economy remains uncertain. The Netherlands now has more "imports" living in most cities than natives. The developments that started 40 years ago are unstoppable and will continue. Successive governments have not been able to do anything about this growth, because the Netherlands is bound hand and foot to Europe. Economically, more and more money also has to be spent on defense, but in my opinion this is not necessary, because new wars are being fought via computer.
