In 2040, I want a future where technology, environment and society are in balance. Sustainable development would be a key goal: energy would be almost exclusively renewable and urban spaces would be designed with more green spaces and clean air. Smart infrastructure would allow efficient use of resources and reduce pollution. Society would be fairer, with equal opportunities for all, where access to quality education and healthcare would become a universal right. Technology would serve human needs and artificial intelligence would help tackle global challenges such as climate change. A better balance between work and leisure would also be important, with a greater emphasis on social cohesion and care for the planet.
