I wish that politicians were more responsive to people. Unfortunately, that won't be the case. People will most likely be restricted in their values. The media will influence everyone and dictate everyone's opinion. The school system in Germany will get worse and worse and there will be more and more shortages of specialist staff. The reason for this is that they want to make people more emotional. And that only works with little knowledge and fear. And unfortunately this will continue until wealth takes precedence over human lives

Today is January 1, 2040, there are no more wars in the world and all peoples live in peace. Borders have been eliminated in Europe, and the inhabitants cooperate on joint projects to improve the environment around them. Climate change has suspended its evolution, and the tragic episodes that characterized previous years have disappeared .

I live in collective housing provided by the state for its elderly and disabled inhabitants. My family lives nearby - and when I'm with my great-grandchildren, I talk about the troubling times I experienced in the hours and twenties before Europe put a lid on the US, Russia and China's tampering with world peace and the climate. When I go to other places I can't get to in my electric wheelchair, I can easily travel by public transportation that works throughout Europe. Air travel is almost totally abolished and the few airplanes that exist are powered by non-polluting and co2 consuming means. My husband is also still alive and well.

I know that over the next few years a lot will change in the so-called "environmental protection", starting with heating sources for both single-family and multi-family homes. I believe that the individual's awareness of the recovery of recyclable materials will improve, with much better organization of their collection and management. We will waste less food and water. We will show more sense in forest and water management
