The year is 2040. We need to think positively about our children and grandchildren. How they'll live in either serene or turbulent times. I'd like the future to be full of peace, less anxiety. Serenity compared to what we're feeling right now. I imagine that in 2040 there will be more peace, less anxiety, nature respected and offering a serene future. Technologies are evolving so fast that our children's adaptation will be rapid and will advance the way we live and depend on them more and more. My dearest wish is that life will be easier, calmer and more welcoming, with a great deal of respect.

The European Union is economically stronger. Democracy has finally prevailed, the EU Parliament, the EU Commissioners and the EU President are now directly elected by the EU population and are no longer decided in backrooms. The EU bureaucracy has been reduced to 25% and is no longer allowed to impose bans or restrictions on the basis of an EU constitution. The EU has become more liberal and the individual states are once again sovereign.

The way we work will change. Teleworking in the roaring years gave an impetus to the fact that work no longer requires a physical presence in the office for all jobs.By 2040, work will be done four days a week. This will allow for a greater degree of disengagement from work for time off. Nature and being close to nature will become an important part of people's well-being. Our environment will demand greater attention as a result of climate change. We work with respect for nature. We will return closer to nature. Local food, local tourism, work will also be done nearby, the need to travel will be reduced.

The EU becomes the largest economic crisis nation. The nations have fewer rights and less influence as they give the EU legislative powers. The USA, Russia and China improve their product quality and prices, otherwise the EU destroys their economies with sanctions. Through this power, the EU stabilizes large parts of the Middle East and Africa.
