I'm 57 this year. Its been an interesting decade. We have a new young pope in Rome. Global politics has stabilised, Trump died in Jail, China excepted it is the 3rd largest creator of CO2 emission in 2025 and they made the global impact in excessed all the climate action targets. 'Shein' / 'Temu' etc all stopped manufacturing in 2027 after the boycott of fast fashion and slow fashion is now we move now. Our Irish culture is celebrated and honoured more than ever, Is it not an embarrassment to be catholic, GAA is thriving for both genders, The Irish Language is strong Island wide. Our off shore-islands prosper, Families of Generational Irish people now live and work in the communities they were born in. The cost of living seen in 2024 is a distant memory, as we have a meitheal group in each town, The repair centre are in every town too, My iron I purchased in 2019 still works. A 'living wage' is enjoyed by all able to work / since the housing crisis of the 20s has dissipated, Social and Affordable housing is in reach of all Irish Citizens, where they give min of 10 hours a week to service (like the Lion Club / Mens Shed / Community Centres etc) All immigrants are respectful of the Irish Culture: The Ukrainian citizens all returned home to rebuild their lives, The Irish travel their regularly on holidays now. Those in Gaza have found a way to live in peace and the area has recovered. Climate Refugees now come to Ireland, not those from war. They integrate into our communities, they live amongst us, work in our services and pay Tax. Private jets and air travel is C02 Free. Public Transport is popular, and the private car still in our drive, 1 per household. There were only 10 road deaths this year! sad yes, but in compared to 20 years ago. Our Agricultural system is the lowest carbon emitter in Europe per capata. Our soils are regenerating well since the reduction of chemicals and all farmers are now Organic. The family farm in rural Ireland is now a profitable way of life for families. It was found that Mobile Phone usage is bad (as we guessed it would) Kids do not have phones in school nor at home. Its almost like smoking / vaping, we just use the phone if we need to. Alsimers and Dementia treatment of the markers is mainstream now. AI has eradicated all the major illnesses, and our proactive health system can pick up the illnesses before they are even symptomatic, the progress in 10 years has been transformative. This co-exists along with the protection of our environment. An Bord Pleannala / Planning system was reformed. The wind turbines on land were removed and those sites are returned to the communities. Our parks, wilderness areas, beaches, forest / hill walks; all access to all. Leave No Trace principles and training is in every school and community hub. Everyone has a Veg-garden. There is now only one Multistore about 40 miles away! We shop local. I look forward to my step-down retirement from 65, where I keep working for 10/15 years and have time to give back and contribute to society.

Älter werden im Dorf
I have grown older. Together with my partner, I fulfilled my dream of building another house - after all, there was still room in the garden of the old house! It's not any smaller than the old house, but the layout is better. We have moved into the upper apartment - the office in the basement is no longer needed since we retired from work. It now serves as an apartment when children and grandchildren come to visit. Our neighborhood is constantly changing. Separations and deaths bring change. The houses don't stay empty for long. It is very popular to live in the village. People still look out for each other here and living together works. There are lots of activities for young and old, and most people are keen to get involved in voluntary work. All in all, it's a good place to grow older.

retour à la souveraineté des Etats
that the European Union's powers be reduced in favor of the national states that make it up; that Europe (particularly France) become once again a confederation of states in which the member states cooperate but retain their full sovereignty; that the Commission disappear and that the governance of the EU take the form of regular meetings of the Prime Ministers of the member states + possibly a few Ministers concerned by the subjects under discussion. That the so-called "European Justice" disappears, and that the law applicable in member states depends solely on national parliaments, to the exclusion of any intervention by supranational bodies.

Make sense of it all.
I would like to see threats of global warming has been taken seriously and measures to halt its progression is in full force. I would also like to see either IQ tests or common sense tests for people, in charge of government. I also hope religion not to have such a strong hold over weak minds.

Politische Entwicklung
Ban on religions, as these are the main drivers of terrorist attacks and wars. AI should be developed with great caution to prevent a possible danger. German politics should be completely rethought, no more party coercion in the parliamentary groups and each party must vote on draft laws. The absence of party coercion means that every member of parliament can also vote in favor of a law of the other party, but also against bills of his party, so that no party would have to come to power alone or through a coalition and a freer democracy would be created.
