Unfortunately, scientists' predictions and warnings about climate change have been ignored for decades and political decisions have been driven by profit interests. Historical opportunities to enable a good life for all people have been missed. Struggles over the distribution of water and resources were the order of the day, and good coexistence in society was nothing more than a myth told by the ancients.

2040 ? That would make me 86 years old. So that future should be based on the idea of my full health and also the full health of my loved ones and actually the whole family and the whole society. I expect that it should be in a time of peace and full prosperity of society. In 15 years, not much will change in peacetime in general, we will have new cars, hopefully still fossil fuel powered. In Ostrava the first metro line will be opened, in Brno they will still be arguing about where to build the main station. Josef Mužík's grandson will find the treasure of Štěchovice and get fabulously rich. Thanks to this, he will invest massively in the development of a cure for cancer and in 2040 this cure will be distributed worldwide. There will be more and more migrants from Germany who will be actively involved in society, have their own associations, their own political parties and slowly participate in government and governance. Politicians will continue to take credit for the development of society, environmentalists will continue to strut around and present us with plans for a beautiful green future. There will be regular discount promotions on over-the-counter light drugs in Alberta. Security and national defence will be provided by a volunteer force under the command of Mark Benda. Thieves will still steal in the same way, probably more sophisticated and with more use of politicians, that's just the way it is in the Czech Republic and it will still be normal in 2040...

In 2024, I hope that peace will prevail and that everyone will treat each other politely. Furthermore, I expect that there will no longer be cars driving normally, but that they will fly over our streets. People's health has been adapted so that there are no more diseases, or those that do exist are curable. But this requires people, no matter in which country, who believe in these things and cooperate so that everything can work like this

I would like to see an end to wars and for conflicts to be resolved through diplomacy. I would also like to see environmental pollution fall below critical levels and for developing countries with high levels of environmental pollution to do much more and receive more support. I would also like good work to be rewarded more and families to receive more support.
