The year is 2040 and Europe is green. Trees have transformed cities into more welcoming places. There is plenty of shade, and despite hot days, you can always find a comfortable resting place. People can be found walking, riding bikes or scooters along the streets. Traffic in the city is calm. Riding the streetcar from the windows, you can see children playing in the playgrounds. When you return from work, and even more so on weekends, you can go close outside the city to take a walk in the woods or sit by the water. Lots of often small bodies of water allow for active recreation.
When traveling in Europe, there are no borders. Convenient roads , fast trains allow easy movement. At the same time, it is easy to find secluded places and large forest complexes. These are places where nature is governed by its own laws. Animals live in their natural rhythm. Beavers create huge floodplains. The world becomes really green again.
