We are living in a harmonious, rosy future. It is a prosperous Europe. The peoples of the different nations live in peace and harmony. There are no economic differences between rich and poor, healthy and sick, socially advantaged and disadvantaged. Everyone contributes to the community as much as they can.

In 2040, I envision a world that has undergone significant changes toward sustainability and social harmony. One of the key issues I see as important to address is climate change and environmental degradation. In 2040, I would like to see a planet that is greener, more sustainable and more aware of its resources.

In 2040, an international environmental program will be in operation and become a standard: minimal emissions from cars, businesses and mines, a program to green urban spaces and increase the countries' forest cover will continue. A landscape aesthetics program will also be introduced, so that mottled advertisements, signs and logos will disappear from buildings and roadside areas, the number of road signs will be reduced and their placement systematized - cities will regain style and areas along roads will regain order.

Midnigh hit and 2040 arrived. Overall relief as humaniy finally managed to agree on the long list of steps in order to acieve global harmony. It took 10 years to work and agree on the plan and coupl of years to break through and make first step - learning to live without fear and treatening other. The absence of fear brings us to internal balanced freedom.

My future would not be a war where innocent animals and people suffer. The war would be fought by heads of state on their own turf, like an MMA contest. Whoever wins runs the world. People would have a lot more respect for each other. They would not see skin tone or gender. They would take each person as a separate human being. Judge by his character whether they like him or not. For years nature as it should. Not like now.

A world without so many cars driving every day. A restored nature in which all animals and plants can exist. An end to factory farming and a plant-based diet for all people. No one in the world has to go hungry or have no access to water. Single-family homes will be abolished and only multi-family homes, more space for everyone and therefore more nature! Land sealing will be reversed worldwide! Killing stations for dogs and cats will be banned worldwide! Yulin and other dog meat festivals are over!!!! What a beautiful world this would be for all living beings!

In this world, we have switched to 100% renewable energy. Solar and wind power provide most of the energy needs of households and industry, while excess energy is stored in advanced battery systems or converted into green hydrogen. Fusion energy has become a reality, which means we have an almost unlimited source of clean energy with no hazardous waste. Cities are being completely transformed - vertical gardens and green roofs preserve air quality and reduce the effect of heat islands. Streets are adapted for pedestrians, cyclists and self-driving electric vehicles that operate on a shared use system, reducing the number of cars and traffic congestion. Oceans and rivers are clean, with plastics almost completely eliminated or replaced by biodegradable alternatives. Advanced recycling and reuse systems mean that we no longer have a concept of waste - it all goes back into the economy.

I would like to see a future in which people live in harmony with nature. People show more consideration for the needs of nature and animals. More attention is paid to environmentally conscious behavior. People are supported in this by their government and the European Union. Nature is no longer destroyed and threatened by people and their actions. Nature is preserved in such a way that future generations can also live well on earth.

In 2040, I want a future where technology, environment and society are in balance. Sustainable development would be a key goal: energy would be almost exclusively renewable and urban spaces would be designed with more green spaces and clean air. Smart infrastructure would allow efficient use of resources and reduce pollution. Society would be fairer, with equal opportunities for all, where access to quality education and healthcare would become a universal right. Technology would serve human needs and artificial intelligence would help tackle global challenges such as climate change. A better balance between work and leisure would also be important, with a greater emphasis on social cohesion and care for the planet. This would be a future where people are more compassionate, responsible and connected to nature.

I imagine myself in 2040. I will be 87 years old and (in case I am) I will be an old, really old man. Fortunately, medicine has made great advances, to treat and, especially, prevent the diseases that afflict us in the third and fourth ages. In addition, I have a very good genetic makeup, inherited from parents who both died around the age of 100. I am fortunate to have a grandson (my son's son) who attends the European school, reformed to standards of which the EU. Yes, because it is nice and reassuring that more than Italian citizens we consider ourselves Europeans. Fortunately, our homeland has been able to take a great leap forward, freeing itself from the laces and strings that oppressed it and has become competitive again. A great market, great traditions, a beacon of civilization and culture. We have learned to accept that there are large and very strong competitors (USA, INDIA and CHINA), but we have not resigned ourselves to the decline, to which we seemed ineluctably resigned. For my part, I have tried to pass on to my grandson my experience, which comes especially from the mistakes I have made in my life.

Living in a unified, free and democratic Europe would be good for our peoples and an exemplary laboratory for the world. A utopia surely, but we need to move forward and counter all the autocrats without necessarily waging war against them, but for that we need to be powerful and show a people proud and happy to live in Europe.

It is year 2040 and the Europe lands are at peace. We live in Europe, where there is no war but rather strict rules and great consequences for those who break them. The power of the elite is spread among different countries so that none of them have the prevailing power to take over whatever he desires. At the same time though, people who are willing to take action in their lives, are being enabled so, by running the waters of capitalism. There are barely any resources for the people who are whining about their neighbours’s grass being greener, and are only bringing irrelevant issues into the mix, while people who seek for new ways, and are ready to be financially elevated, are provides with such resources.
