Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Innovative systems have been developed for: purifying water to make it drinkable again, sending energy for free to the whole world through the ionosphere, so there are no more power plants of any kind, there is no more money, everyone is able to have everything they need to eat, drink etc. for free and without moving from home, there is also an apparatus to purify all waste cleanly, money being eliminated there is no more terrorism, mafias, common thugs, murders, etc., scientific research has extended our lives up to 120 years, in each state 7 members elected by the people govern to whom they report at the end of the year and are confirmed or not, cars that pollute are no longer used but hydrogen cars that are taken directly from the air, there has been no more war since 2025, history taught in school has been changed according to new discoveries

I am on a train bound for Russia, this train can reach 450 kilometers per hour, I left from Bologna, about an hour ago, in three hours I will have reached my destination, now we travel without borders, now Europe is as if it has become one nation, even prices are not differentiated, they are all the same, there have been no more wars for several years now, and the conditions of mankind have evolved for everyone.
Bättre med EU
Bättre med EU
The EU has expanded by a few more member countries compared to now. These include Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine. Through decisive joint action by the EU countries, Russia has given up its imperialist ambitions, the members of the old fascist regime have been convicted of their atrocities and the country has embarked on a journey towards democracy, and several free elections with real opportunities for the people of Russia to choose between different political orientations have been held. Xenophobia has disappeared and the former far-right parties attract so few voters that they are not represented in any parliament. There are now safe asylum routes into the EU and, while not all refugees are allowed to stay, they are seen as potential resources rather than likely problems. Politicians of different parties have started to listen to science again and, while not all is well, our carbon footprint has been reduced and global warming has started to slow down. Working together in the EU was a major contributing factor.

So that people can live off their joy, be financially secure when it comes to pensions, social equality, tolerance, or the accession of minorities of European culture. The invention of new drugs that can cure the currently unbearable pain of carcinoma. Technology which is used specifically to help the individual, but not to make the individual a prisoner.
2040
2040
I would hope that in 2040 world leaders would be in their right minds and believe in the truth. The wars would be over and all the people of the world would be happy. Discrimination would no longer exist in any form anywhere in the world. All minorities would get along and understand each other. Technology would have advanced to help us instead of taking all our attention away from the irrelevant, artificial intelligence would be useful instead of leading us to destruction. Everyone would have a good and comfortable life and greed would be stifled.

So the future would be that the war between Russia and Ukraine would be well and truly over. There will be new diseases from the melting glaciers, but at the same time there will be cures for them. As far as Lithuania is concerned, I think life will certainly improve. Transport will be completely pollution-free. There will be a lot of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydroelectric power. The world will improve in the space sphere. There will be journeys to other planets.

I see a world where there are no contaminated areas, but instead the soil has been cleaned and our green foods are grown responsibly. The same goes for the other protein sources. We have cleaned up the wars that have taken place in many different parts of the world and built homes for everyone. We all, both girls and boys, have the opportunity to get an education. We have also gotten a grip on the climate.

I will have been retired for some time in 2040. I'm still doing pretty well for my age. My pension doesn't allow me to spend a lot of money, so I'm more frugal about it. However, over the years I have managed to update the furnishings in my flat so that I am now more comfortable and better off. I have also bought some more modern appliances which have made my life easier. I still like to work on my computer, which I replaced a few years ago with a newer one; I also have a smartphone. In the future, I only wish for good health - both physical and mental. I still like cycling, not the big climbs anymore, but on the flat I am still going. I bought a new road bike a few years ago and I am very happy with it. I also bought an electric mountain bike and it makes it easier to get up the Pohorje hills. I go hiking in the mountains from time to time, mostly in winter, especially when there is snow, which is not very often and not very much anymore. Life in the place where I live has changed more or less. People are still friendly. The place has changed more or less. Apart from a few newer buildings and houses and some modernisation of the local roads, there have been no major changes. The road connections to neighbouring places have not been improved much, but finally a section of the road to Rogla has been improved, which was planned about 25 years ago. The natural environment is also not much different than it was a few years ago, although the impact of climate change has only become more pronounced. There are more hot days in summer and occasional thunderstorms, while winters are milder with little snow, although temperatures occasionally drop below 0. Overall, life is more expensive. The prices of basic goods and services have gone up, so that there is not much left of the pension for pampering and treats. I would like to finally hit the lottery ;-). I am not too interested in the situation in the country, in Europe and in the world. I stopped following the media and politics after the corona. The media has become even more showman-ish in this time, social networks are not even trendy anymore because of untruths and inaccurate information. AI has become, as previously predicted, just a tool to help, and it is not as reliable as expected for anything more. Cars are still fossil-fuelled. Only cars owned by people with their own solar power plant run on electricity, because electricity has become too expensive and because there are occasional blackouts. Efforts to make nuclear power cheaper have still not been successful. We will have to wait another 25-50 years.
I hope my grandkids listen in disbelief about my tales of the past
I hope my grandkids listen in disbelief about my tales of the past
I woke up this morning and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air—cleaner than it had been in decades. I walked to the neighborhood market, where fresh affordable produce from local farms was abundantly available thanks to Europe’s 2030 policy on increasing subsidies for farmers so they get a fair price and not have to pass the increase on to the consumer My grand children played nearby with their pals from all different backgrounds, chatting effortlessly in multiple languages thanks to the continued EU Education Initiatives that make multilingual learning and culture projects free and accessible, fostering deeper understanding across nations. I meet my elderly parents for coffee, they are both in their 80s and in good health thanks to the eu wide shared health system that meant they could go to Europe for treatment and not sit for years on eating lists in ireland. They pay for their coffees using Universal Living Credit—a system introduced in 2041 to ensure financial stability for all citizens. We talk about life in general and about the news story of the day which is the anniversary of the day in 2026 that the EU finally stood up to Trump and Netanyahu, leading to a free Palestine and the downfall of the trump administration and his eventual incarceration. My three adult children join us for lunch as they are on a day off thanks to the EU four-day workweek policy. They talk excitedly about their plans for their new homes which they can easily afford because of house price control policies and decent salaries. I tell them horror stories about rent prices and homeless rates when they were babies, they don’t believe me. When I returned home that evening, me and my husband make plans for a trip to our second home in Spain later in the month. Later that evening our Ukrainian neighbors and fellow EU citizens stop by for a visit. I’m glad that in 2050, Europe isn’t just a continent; it’s a home for all.

A future in which I see that they have succeeded in curing carcinoma, hiv and all the lung pains of the future. I see centres where people buy poison and food. Novac is not standing still. Radna snaga has been replaced by machines and artificial intelligence. Say goodbye to the bitch without contact. They all have the same rights and equalities. People are more morally inclined. Drugs, fast food, marriage, no stopping. People are more concerned about the community and the environment.

The smell of fresh coffee wafts through the air - kitchen nanobots know exactly when I'm up. The city is silent, hovering vehicles glide silently over the streets, because internal combustion engines only exist in museums. As I leave the apartment, the climate is more balanced than it was thirty years ago. In 2025, we were still dealing with more extreme storms and heatwaves year after year, but since then the world has taken the fight against climate change seriously. Cities are greener, buildings are covered in plants, and energy is entirely from renewable sources.Humanity has learned to live sustainably, and now we are looking not only to the future of the Earth, but also to the path to the stars. One thing is certain: between 2025 and 2050, there will have been many challenges, but our choices have paid off. Humanity has not only survived, it has thrived - towards a better, more conscious world.

Beginning 2035 years ago, the castles with the people at their backs, have no inhabitants, no gentlemen in their 8 squares of space allocated by the State. You have no place and you are a creature. You feed like a housewife on hens, industrial meat and industrial waste, the pharmaceutical industries are like a blessed breeze, every human being has some kind of pain from the suffering of all the months of the day. A beautiful future awaits us
