In the society of the future, we share and think in a circular way, using the Earth's resources so that there is enough for everyone and so that we do not jeopardize our future. Waste no longer exists, but everything we produce and manufacture is fed back into systems to be used and given new life. Artificial intelligence (AI) has freed up resources to change the way people work, leaving more time for creativity, humanity and other things that make us feel good. We are living longer. Individualism has peaked and measuring performance has been replaced by intrinsic motivation and a sense of belonging. We are not our professions but people, with more time for thought and reflection.

Technological developments and the exponential growth of digitalization have created good conditions and shared knowledge, understanding and insight have guided us in how to use them in the best way. We operate in a global context where we reach the whole world no matter where we are.

In 2040, I would like to see a future where cultural diversity and inclusion are at the heart of every community in Europe. Imagine cities where people from all backgrounds, languages, and traditions come together to share ideas, collaborate, and celebrate their differences. Schools would teach multiple languages from an early age, not only to help communication but to promote understanding of different cultures. Technology would make it easier for people to connect across borders, creating virtual cultural exchange programs where students and professionals could collaborate on projects.

It's 2040 and I'm 81 years old. My life has been full of sorrow but also joy. 2025 conflicts of all kinds in the 4 corners of the planet, violence, climate change ...... Happily, in a burst of intelligence and love, human beings have understood that the most important thing in LIFE is LOVE and EMPATHY. We live in a peaceful world where everyone is paid fairly, resources are preserved but above all distributed equally No conflict, no hatred, no discrimination, we live in PEACE and HARMONY. Science has made enormous progress and most diseases have been eradicated. I'm happy to see my children and grandchildren living in this new world!

It's 2040, and 10 years ago, elected representatives finally became aware of the problems that human beings bring to the planet. I envision a future in which we live in harmonious coexistence with technology. Cities will be green and full of vertical gardens, while drones will relieve traffic congestion. People will travel in self-driving vehicles powered by renewable energy. Artificial intelligence will support everyday life, from work to leisure. Virtual reality will make it possible to visit faraway places without leaving home. In this future, everyone will have access to education and healthcare, which will significantly improve the quality of life. People will be more creative and engaged as they will have more time for personal projects and community activities. The future will not only be technologically advanced, but also more human and empathetic.
