It's no secret that the younger generation has been dealt a tough hand. Throughout Europe, there is an overall lack of junior positions and opportunities for young people, yet a never-ending list of unpaid positions, difficulty to find affordable housing and being unable to leave their parents' homes until their late 20's, among other issues.

I believe it's important that within the next 20 years' an important structural change takes place to move resources towards helping young people access affordable housing. It's ridiculous to think that in Spain, someone earning above the average national wage is unable to afford an apartment, even a studio, and that people under the age of 30 have to resort to either: (i) living at home with their parents, (ii) flat sharing with 2,3 or 4 people. The situation is much worse for other groups of people, particularly women, migrants, refugees, minorities and people who at risk of social exclusion.

Someone needs to lead the way and it must happen at the EU level. This is the only way to push national and local governments to allocate resources, install rent control mechanisms and help people with one of their most basic needs. I hope that by 2040, my children or my friends' children don't have to face the same problems or struggles.

Immagino
I envision a Europe where the dictates of political parties are just a bad reminder of how things have failed in the past. I imagine a single land of European peoples united by a common interest in solving their own problems, without having to deal with political assumptions that have led to the collapse and ruin of democratic states and the despair of so many citizens, who have lived and suffered within a community that should have solved so many problems and, instead, has brought new ones. I imagine my Europe, for which I fought my most tender years, free from the accartona politics, whose goal is the seat, it is their own "particulare," and not the family (that of others); it is the appearance at any cost, putting their signature on even the most unimaginable documents. They care little anyway, as long as they "enter history." So much for Europe, to which they fatten themselves by saying they are parliamentarians. I imagine Europe uniting peoples and people, but, not with a common currency, which has impoverished them. A Europe that is not carried away by the often morbid imagination of a few, and that, above all, the men and women who represent it, live on this earth!

Se på mig
Sitting in a café in the sun, people are talking to each other. Cell phones are put away. You look each other in the eye and take an interest in each other. Respecting differences, sexuality, skin colors and attitudes. People no longer judge each other. There is peace and calm in the world. No one feels superior to anyone else. The focus is on the contact, interaction and respect between people. There is peace and no stress

Ma maison du futur
Always very connected. A detached house that stands on its own. Photovoltaic panels, water recycling. Warm in winter and cool in summer. Naturally, I have a greenhouse so I can eat the fruit and vegetables I grow myself. There will also be cameras for my security. I'd really like to see other forms of propulsion for my vehicle developed, with solar panels to recharge my car.

Czy to bajka, czy nie bajka?
A better future... We drive electric cars, and electricity for them is provided by wind and nuclear power plants. Unsustainable plastic has replaced glass, garbage incinerators with efficient filters have finally made waste pits unnecessary. The air in Polish cities is breathable even in winter, and in summer we are not afraid of drought and lack of water. And instead of armaments, we spend money on health care and equalizing opportunities for children and young people. All this may be, however, I will put it between fairy tales....
