Transportation is fully electric, with zero-emission vehicles dominating the roads, and public transit systems are efficient, affordable, and accessible for everyone. Waste is minimal, thanks to a circular economy where everything is recycled or repurposed. People live in harmony with the environment, making choices that prioritize the planet's well-being. In this future, environmental preservation isn't just a trend, but a way of life that ensures a healthier planet for generations to come.

In 2040 we could work fewer hours and enjoy more goods by harnessing technology. In particular, we could work from home and use artificial intelligence. With 2-3 hours of effort we would be able to direct the AI tools which would then produce 24 hours a day. This will give us time to enjoy the other aspects of our lives, while society will not stop being productive.
