Think upside down

This image was generated with Dream Studio AI.

I see a lot of opportunities for the future. When we think upside down, we can solve more issues than we think. When we work with new and bright ideas and innovations and address issues differently a lot of things can happen.

Ecoducts for humans instead of animals. Airplanes that suck electricity from the sky. People are not allowed to kill animals, only the weak once, like how it works in nature. Abandon plastic, and work with alternatives. Reward people instead of punishing them. Send love, also to insects.

2025-2050, 25 jaar aan vooruitgang, maar niet zoals we verwacht hadden.
It's 7:00 in the morning, and I wake up in my smart house. My bed has adapted to my sleeping pattern so that I feel rested and fresh. The coffee has already been made in the kitchen, thanks to the AI that stored my preferences at night. As I take the first sip, I get a notification on my tablet: The news of the day is presented by a digital assistant, who summarizes the events of the past 24 hours. The city has changed. Self-driving vehicles glide silently along the streets, but there is still room for the familiar hand-held cars. The air is cleaner than ever, although climate change has left its mark: Summers are warmer and winters milder. Europe has done a lot to replace fossil fuels, but there are still areas that rely on old networks. In school there is little to see of the traditional textbooks. Instead, we use tablets and laptops for our classes, with AI constantly watching and providing support. Learning is more interactive and personalized than ever. Teachers focus more on creative and social skills, while the technical aspects are taken care of by the machines. I work from home, as most people do now. The technology has made it possible to be productive without changing location. My workplace is supported by AI, which takes over most administrative tasks. This has significantly reduced the workload, but new social challenges have arisen. AI makes it harder to distinguish who is a human and who is a robot, so new verification systems are being developed. In the afternoon I spend time in the digital museum, where artworks by both people and AI are presented. While AI art is impressive, human handwriting remains the most loved. The physical museums, full of ancient art and artifacts, remain the favorite destination of many. Love, however, remains the greatest driver of society. In an age of technological advancement and increasingly complex digital world, the deeper human connections are stronger than ever. Despite the fact that people often work from home and therefore spend more time with their loved ones, the culture of consumption has increased. Convenience has led to a life where physical activity is often neglected, and while the technology supports our well-being, there are also negative effects such as less exercise and an increase in mental health problems. Religion also plays a role in this new world, with Catholicism providing, even in this futuristic society, a source of comfort and direction for many. Churches are filled with people seeking spiritual deepening, and the age-old rituals continue to have a deep meaning even in the midst of technological change. The church not only offers a spiritual anchor, but also a space for community and care for each other. The message of love, compassion and responsibility for the other remains a foundation, even in times of impersonal technology. Technology has made life easier, but also more complex. Despite all progress, human creation, connection and experience remain central to the world of 2050. Love for each other, our earth and our history will always prevail.

All the things that could be different
The climate crisis as well as the mass extinction of other species are being actively averted with every effort on a global scale. Our democracy has evolved to a more democratic form and our elected politicians are now any citizens of voting age, who are elected for only a single period, rather than career politicians. The ability to buy political influence has been eradicated and society is now governed by its citizens rather than by corperations and inherited wealth and power. We are working towards equality and social justice for all, and every year the economic gap between rich and poor gets significantly smaller. We no longer treat animals like products, but treat them like living beings with needs beyond eating, and thus we eat far less meat and no longer have factories filled to the brim with suffering and tortured animals. In our dealing with the global community we act to promote fairness in trade, human rights and to distribute wealth more equally on a global scale.

Miljö och hälsa i fokus
In my dream future, the whole world has decided to prioritize the environment. Forbidden what chemical pesticides are called. Removed chemicals from food, skin care, detergents, clothes, etc. Remove all plastic from gasoline. Treat animals in the food industry well. My hope is also that people wake up and see who and what rules this world. That their agenda is not for our and the world's best. Don't go on to state and media descriptions of reality. Reduce people's dependence on medicine and highlight alternative treatments.

Ideaalitodellisuus ja paluu juurille.
In the future, I would like the environment to remain vibrant. This, however, is a result of technological progress, so that there has been no need to significantly reduce the standard of living. Hopefully, small changes to a more thrifty lifestyle have come and individuals will adapt to those changes. Businesses are still operating, but more energy efficient than they are today. Some of the current predictable inventions never materialized, for example, artificial intelligence did not take on such a significant role as had been anticipated. Of the states, the nation-states are still standing, but are able to cooperate with each other without arguing about every conflict of interest. You can be proud of a nation-state and exercise sports in its name without unnecessary nationalistic defiance. The last point may be the most difficult to implement with the current development, but you can always dream. However, the fauna of northern Europe has changed, for example, fish species that have never been able to survive here before are cultivated here. Some species of animals have disappeared, unfortunately. Forests can be managed better than at present, and meat production is partly also produced elsewhere than in production pigs or chickens. People are starting to appreciate their free time more. There are livelihoods around silence and silence, the direction of tourism is partly turning from south to north. Massaturism is starting to be rejected and some of these companies will have to look for a replacement activity to replace it. Despite all its shortcomings, the prevailing economic system is still regulated capitalism and corporations use tax money to finance state activities. Especially when it comes to the environment, their actions will certainly have to be partly controlled by politicians.
