Inside the first self-sustainable city on Mars - by ABIBOO studio
Construction of the city of Nüwa could start in 2054 and will see 250,000 people live inside the rock of a steep cliff. Freeze my body, melt me in 80 years, and send me to Mars. Architecture studio ABIBOO has revealed its plans to create the first self-sustainable city on the Red Planet, which is set to be ready for residents in 2100. The city will be called Nüwa and will be located at Tempe Mensa on one of the Martian cliffs. Its position inside a rock on the steep cliff will protect its residents from radiation and meteorites (cool!) while still giving them

Optimisme
A better future would be one in which we stop fighting or getting worked up over things that aren't important, and wars of "religion" no longer exist. We'd take care of the earth and stop polluting it.
On a more personal note, my daughters would have finished their studies and have a job in which they're fulfilled, they'd have a family life that they want and that they don't feel "trapped" in. In short, they'd be happy to discover the world without fear of their fellow man or of a natural disaster, and they'd travel to discover a world unpolluted by mass tourism.
I'd be close to retirement, so I hope I'd still be able to enjoy my family and the free time I'd have.
And everyone would be in good health.
Den bättre världen
All wars are over. The whole world is united in peace. Neither the EU nor NATO exist anymore. All countries work together. We have no military left and weapons have stopped being made. Unemployment no longer exists. Everyone has a job. And those who work can work a maximum of 4 hours a day and earn as much as 8-hour jobs. Everyone also earns the same amount regardless of what you do. Equal pay for everyone. All food prices are at half price levels compared to today so everyone has the right to manage to get food for the day.
Beamen ??
For me, I would like to see the world and the mindset of politicians be more open. Thinking is no longer confined to one pathway, but traveling. Hyperloop and the like would probably be a better solution than airplanes and cars for long-distance travel. However, I also think that traveling by car must remain in order to be able to travel individually. E-mobility can only be an interim solution, if at all. Personally, I don't think much of e-mobility because it is too expensive and definitely not sustainable. New, sustainable energy must be created, money must be spent on it and research must be intensified.
Unfortunately, beaming is only realistic in movies! Nevertheless, something has to be done,
Nov sistem za novo in boljše skupno življenje
Humans are animal beings, striving to survive. We want the best for ourselves, but we are bound by socio-demographics. We want to help each other but are constrained by the current political-economic system. In the future, I would like us to be able to transcend the system we are caught up in and to free ourselves from the animal instinct that makes us egocentric. I want and hope that we can realistically care for the well-being of the environment in which we live, that we can help each other, that we can use our knowledge and technology to improve our health and to benefit each other in every way.
Tilbage til de menneskelige værdier
I want there to be respect again for each other's values. Respect for the elderly, who are worthless today. Respect for children's differences and much more inclusiveness. I want no one to talk on cell phones in public spaces, but to be polite and friendly. Status symbols and eternal bragging will disappear. It means nothing. While families and friendships will flourish.
Jaki piękny Świat
The earth is finally at peace with no war anywhere. People appreciate harmony and take care of each other. They have created a major food bank and the more needy can use it, there are no more starving children. Mankind has understood that they need to take care of their planet, they don't want the Earth to slowly die, so everyone at the local level takes care of the environment and is proud of it. The world is drowning in greenery and the water and air are clean as in ancient times.
"A Sustainable, Connected, and Thriving Europe"
In 2040, I imagine a Europe that has fully embraced sustainability, innovation, and community-driven progress. Climate change is no longer an existential threat but a challenge we have successfully tackled through renewable energy, circular economies, and nature-conscious urban development.
Transportation is powered entirely by clean energy—public transit is seamless, fast, and accessible, reducing the need for private cars. Cities are green, with vertical forests, smart energy-efficient buildings, and abundant public spaces for people to connect. Rural areas are thriving, thanks to advanced digital infrastructure that allows remote work, telemedicine, and sustainable agriculture.
Education has evolved beyond traditional models, incorporating personalized learning, real-world problem-solving, and emotional intelligence training. AI and technology serve as tools for empowerment rather than replacement, supporting individuals in their creativity, critical thinking, and well-being.
Most importantly, communities are stronger than ever. Technology connects people rather than isolates them, fostering local engagement and global collaboration. Policies prioritize well-being over economic growth alone, ensuring a fair and inclusive society where no one is left behind.
This is the Europe I hope for—one where sustainability, innovation, and human connection shape a thriving and balanced future for all.
Min framtid.
That wars disappear from the Earth because all people understand that we need each other to cooperate and create a better world. Clean energy has taken over and everything to do with fossil energy has been phased. AI is failing to manipulate the people and there is no fake news creating conspiracy. Europe is finally united and is a great power that is self-sufficient.People can get by with their jobs and there is no injustice. Health care can finally cure cancer and all other diseases. They have researched the seas and oceans and have created new resources with new technology that means there is enough food and water for the whole world. This is my dream for 2040.
On palattu takaisin normaaliin elämään
We are back to a normal society, where decision-making is based on facts and seeks to act in the best interests of people and nature. No more pseudo-scientific climate alarmism and a "green transition" that only harmed people and nature. We have also put an end to harmful immigration, which in practice led to an increase in crime and social spending. There has also been a return to normal democracy and an end to the violation of freedom of expression and other totalitarian tendencies aimed at subjugating people and creating a society in which any criticism of those in power is banned. There were already examples of such totalitarian efforts in the 2020-2022 period, when many countries launched completely arbitrary restriction and closure measures for which there was no legal or scientific justification - even though the media had claimed to the public that these measures were necessary to combat the coronavirus. Yet, even at the time, people knew that this was all a complete lie, and the corona epidemic was used as a pretext to enable these dictatorial efforts and to test the machinery of the authorities for future needs. But fortunately, in 2040, we no longer have to fear any of this.
Esseri umani prima di tutto
People will work to live and not live to work. Work weeks will be a maximum of five days. Cities will stop being productive machines, and will become the space in which a cohesive society can be expressed. Social cohesion will again allow children to grow up together with their peers, in safe and available places throughout the territory. Neighborhoods will allow soft mobility and there will be a return to having at most one car per household. Secular third places will once again exist for teens and adults, who will not necessarily have to spend money to have reception.
Friede
Humanity should finally steer the destiny of the world with heart and brain. Not wage wars. Problems can also be solved at the green table. Make forward-looking decisions. It's certainly not easy, but our planet will thank us for it. They say that money makes the world go round. But what if you have a lot of money but no world? Relying on finding a "second earth" in space is utopian. If it is found, then certainly not in such a short time. And who can go there? Only those who have a lot of money and can afford it? The others will die on a perishing world? We could have it so nice on our planet!!! Peace - the most important good for us humans. After that comes health, because research also needs peace and not arguments about who is better in this area. Together we can achieve much more. Languages are as different as religions are different. If you go back to the beginnings, you discover that the ONE - no matter what name the respective religion gives him - is always the same. I would like to see people who not only work for their own pockets, but also do a lot for the community. Our world is so beautiful - to enjoy this beauty is my great wish.
Przyjazny świat.
Above all, I would like to see far better human interaction. For this reason, I am not an advocate of AI or excessive use of social media. I envision a sustainable world where new technologies make life easier but don't take it away. I'd like to see innovations aimed at eliminating hunger/poverty rather than causing increasing disparities in society. I would like our world to use the resources the Earth gives us, without harming it, so as not to lead to climate migrations. In 2050, lifestyles should be far less consumerist. Modern energy sources and transportation based on them, which will allow easy movement without harming the environment. Organic food instead of artificiality. Products without palm oil, artificial additives. I would like every household to be self-sufficient and organic. I would like there to be vaccines and medicines for so-called civilization diseases especially oncology. Society returning to nature will age more slowly and people will be more close-knit and happier without the current rush for money or having lots of unnecessary wishes. I would like to stop climate change so that cocoa plantations don't disappear and children in the future can occasionally taste chocolate. Security and the absence of wars is also a key issue. I would like all the countries of the world to sign a declaration on the inviolability of national borders.
